Join us for the 2021 VFC Annual General Meeting (AGM), Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1PM ET with Guest Speaker, and VFC Vasculitis Fellow, Dr. Joanne Jiang

The VFC AGM is the foundation’s annual obligation to, amongst other things, receive the President/Director’s report on the current and future business of the foundation, receive the Treasurer’s report and financial statements for the 2021 calendar year, and appoint accountants for the new year.   Members also vote to elect officers (President, Treasurer and Secretary) and directors for the new year, as well as transact any other business that may properly come before the meeting.

The 2021 Vasculitis Foundation Canada (VFC) AGM will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1 PM ET online, and by phone, via ZOOM. The AGM starts at 1:00 PM ET, however, online arrival and sign-in starts at 12:30 PM ET. The number of ZOOM attendees may be limited, sign-in earlier rather than later!

Join us with our guest speaker Dr. Joanne Jiang who will speak on “Patient Tools” for better vasculitis outcomes – and who doesn’t want that!

Dr. Jiang is VFC’s first Vasculitis Fellow and has been actively engaged in developing vasculitis patient management tools.  Her patient survey in February got ~80 responses within 48 hours!  Thank you for your enthusiastic response and for providing valuable input!  Your responses, and the fact that vasculitis patients can be overwhelmed with a vasculitis diagnosis, proved the need for improved educational materials and patient management tools. These “tools” will help you navigate the “world” of powerful treatments, regular lab tests, biopsies and ongoing doctor appointments. Understanding disease symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, lab tests and how to track those results will go a long way to improve disease knowledge and your disease progress.  Join Dr. Jiang as she introduces some “tools” to help you with your vasculitis!

And, since covid-19 vaccination is on everyone’s mind Dr. Jiang will also review the current COVID-19 vaccine guidelines as they may apply to vasculitis patients.
