{"id":536,"date":"2015-10-07T14:00:57","date_gmt":"2015-10-07T18:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vasculitis.ca\/?p=536"},"modified":"2015-10-07T14:05:24","modified_gmt":"2015-10-07T18:05:24","slug":"536","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vasculitis.ca\/?p=536","title":{"rendered":"Annual Fall Lectures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>For those who will be in the Toronto area on October 24, 2015,\u00a0please join us for our annual fall lectures at\u00a0Toronto Western Hospital. \u00a0This year our morning session will focus on What\u2019s New in Vasculitis with Dr\u2019s. Christian Pagnoux and Lillian Barra. \u00a0<\/strong>There have been many new developments in\u00a0vasculitis care, treatment and clinical trials to review and discuss. This year\u2019s format will allow enough time for the lectures on the most common\u00a0vasculitic diseases, with an extended Q&amp;A to address\u00a0<strong>questions on all vasculitic diseases!<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our afternoon session starts with a research update from Dr. Katherine Siminovitch where you will learn about her summer work on all those fresh blood cell samples, and which hopefully<\/strong>\u00a0will identify the potential stimulus, in the already known exact single gene change, in the HLA gene region, that is implicated in GPA and maybe MPA! \u00a0And, we need to continue collecting samples from all vasculitis patients, <strong>especially Behcet\u2019s and Giant Cell Arteritis!<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And,\u00a0new this year a number of patients, and support members, will share their experiences on Living with Vasculitis!<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>To register and for the lecture program just follow the link below! \u00a0You may use your password from\u00a0previous VFC events or create a new password!
